About the artist
Hello! I’m Rebecca, an illustrator specialising in children’s books, greeting cards and illustrated giftware.
I work from my cosy home studio in Wales, UK, where I create gentle illustrations inspired by my love for the British countryside and all things cosy.
When I’m not illustrating, you may find me baking delicious cakes and baked goods in the kitchen, hiking along the waterfall trails of my local area or simply hunkered down with a blanket and a good cup of tea on a rainy day.
How I started...
My journey into illustration began at the dining table of my childhood home where I spent a lot of rainy days, unsurprisingly drawing my favourite things- animals!
Drawing brought a lot of comfort during difficult times at school and college, and I knew I wanted to pursue the subject further. In 2017 I decided to study illustration full time at Swansea College of Art, UWTSD, where I graduated with a BA, and a further MA degree in 2022. Most recently, I also completed an adult teaching certificate, allowing me to help others reach their creative goals.
I began building Beccotti organically over the years by sharing my work online through Instagram and Facebook, growing a wonderful community with friends from around the world. This eventually led me to meet and collaborate with some amazing brands, companies and publishers, alongside building my own giftware range.
